AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMERS (Multiple Vacancies)

The Corporation of the City of North Bay is currently seeking applications for programmers to work within the After School Programs it is operating. Programs run from Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year for youth ages 6-12.

Under the direction of the Community Development Coordinator, the After School programmers will be responsible for the following:

  • Day-to-day operation of Centre – report writing, program scheduling and paperwork
  • Supervision of program participants ages 6-12
  • General program coordination of physical activities, healthy food choices and nutrition, health and wellness activities, homework assistance, and arts & crafts
  • Cleaning/sanitizing surfaces/equipment

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check) dated within the last 3 months (or willing to obtain)
  • Minimum of Grade 12 Education
  • Display leadership and supervisory skills
  • Preference given to bilingual candidates and those currently enrolled or Degree in Rec/Physical Ed, Concurrent Ed

Hours of Work: Up to 3-15 hours a week depending on availability.

Rate of Pay: $17.20 per hour plus vacation pay as legislated, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act

Status: Non-Union Casual
