About the Role:

Ensure all prescriptions are dispensed in accordance with provincial regulations and company policies to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all company policies and operating procedures to enable pharmacists to deliver high-level pharmaceutical care.
  • Train and supervise dispensary staff as required.
  • Assist in setting and achieving financial objectives.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory.
  • Provide friendly customer service and build relationships with clients.
  • Practice within the College's Scope of Practice and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper receipt and recording of narcotics, participate in inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate patient profiles.
  • Perform medication checks and document in compliance with standards.
  • Provide, document, and bill pharmaceutical interventions/services.
  • Minimize medication incidents and follow protocols if incidents occur.
  • Participate in continuous learning and share knowledge with staff.
  • Document patient counseling as required.
  • Assist with third-party processing, billing, and reporting.
  • Protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Comply with all pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

Required:

  • Licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists and in good standing.
  • Available for on-call services after hours on a rotational basis.

Preferred:

  • At least two years of experience in long-term care, retail, or hospital pharmacy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service.
  • Organized, proactive, with problem-solving skills.
