Job summary

Kina-Gbezhgomi-Child-and-Family-Services is seeking a Child Well Being Worker to provide after-hours screening and protection services for children and youth in need. This emergency role covers weekends and holidays and requires coordinating with the Service Supervisor for initial calls and processing under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act and related standards.

Qualified candidates will hold an accredited college diploma in a related field; preference for a Bachelor of Social Work.

Qualifications

• Must possess an accredited college diploma in a related field.
• Preference for a Bachelor of Social Work Honours Degree or related field.
• At least two years of frontline social service experience with children, youth, families.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-hours screening for protection services.
• Respond to allegations of children/youth in need of protection.
• Perform duties under the Child, Youth, and Family Services Act and agency policies.
• Coordinate screening with the Service Supervisor and process cases.
