Job summary

A leading aerospace company is seeking a Quality Analyst Consultant in Montreal for a minimum 6-month contract. Overview

Industry: Aerospace/Defense

Position: Quality Analyst Consultant

Location: Montreal, Canada

Duration: Minimum 6 months

Frequency: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, assess, and investigate supplier quality issues.
  2. Perform source inspections and invoke corrective actions.
  3. Participate in quality reviews and governance meetings with senior management (Directors).
  4. Plan and conduct FAI reviews.
  5. Analyze data and generate KPIs on supplier quality performance.
  6. Lead and execute complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  7. Define corrective and improvement plans with suppliers.
  8. Review and approve quality documentation (e.g., dropship forms).
  9. Manage RNC/VRNC tasks requiring MRB approval.
  10. Provide technical support and coaching to team members and stakeholders.
  11. Lead DMM during the absence of the leader.
  12. Participate in executive meetings and PMRs with suppliers.
  13. Train and coach suppliers on quality tools.
  14. Represent the Director in quality matters and meetings.
  15. Act as a mentor and contribute to defining strategic departmental plans.

Requirements:

  1. Experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102).
  2. Fluency in French is mandatory.
  3. Knowledge of CMM inspection and ability to interpret inspection reports related to manufacturing.
  4. Understanding of Aerospace Quality Systems and international standards.
  5. Proficiency with SAP.
  6. Familiarity with inspection practices and tools such as CMM, comparators, micrometers, thread gauges, and calipers.
  7. Ability to read blueprints and verify dimensional properties against specifications.
  8. Knowledge of Discus software is preferred.
  9. Experience with Net Inspect is preferred.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  11. Understanding of GD&T principles.
  12. Minimum of 7 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
  13. Ability to propose innovative solutions and identify improvement opportunities.
  14. Skill in developing strategies for complex issues and managing their deployment.
  15. Ability to perform risk analysis on complex solutions.
  16. Capability to work independently as a role model.
  17. Experience in coaching and training team members.
