Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Mississauga offers a 2027 winter internship. You will help build and enhance our software tools for aircraft engine control systems, with on-site work Monday to Friday.

You will work with SQL, PHP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and APIs, and gain hands-on exposure to DO-178C development processes; English communication required.

Eligible students enrolled in a Canadian university and able to work on-site in Ontario are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Canada and enrolled at a Canadian university.
• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in CS, SE, or CE.
• On-site work in the province where hired, if applicable.
• Experience with SQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, D3/JQuery, JavaScript, Git, XML, JSON, and APIs.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and web page design.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and a passion for learning.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance our software build management and requirements management web application for aircraft engine control systems.
• Optimize tool performance and create intuitive, user-friendly graphical interfaces.
• Document detailed help files and user guides for new and updated tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to brainstorm, evaluate, and implement innovative solutions.
• Analyze tool performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Gaining hands-on exposure to the DO-178C software development process.
