Job summary

Airbus in Mirabel, Quebec, is seeking a Materials & Processes Engineering Specialist to join the A220 aircraft programme. You will provide technical leadership in design, qualification, and environmental compliance across materials and processes, collaborating with suppliers, operations, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in materials, metallurgical, mechanical, chemical, or aerospace engineering (or related discipline).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering or materials and processes.
• Experience managing multiple technical projects autonomously.
• Solid technical skills related to qualification and certification processes for aerospace materials and structures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and leadership to resolve design, certification, and compliance issues with suppliers, operations, quality, operator support, and supply chain.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team on cost-reduction, performance improvements, and ensuring design compliance with materials and processes requirements.
• Perform technical reviews and approval of drawings, manufacturing documents, and test or qualification plans and reports.
• Ensure environmental compliance within aircraft programs.
• Provide visibility to management on ongoing issues or emerging problems.
• Collaborate with production support to assist in problem resolution or manufacturing improvements.
