Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Oakville, Ontario, is seeking an Assembly Technician for the weekend night shift. You will assemble and test landing gear components and sub-assemblies in a safety-conscious, team-oriented environment.

The role requires prior landing gear assembly experience or equivalent manufacturing experience, reading blueprints and following strict assembly instructions. The position is onsite with competitive CAD salary range and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous landing gear assembly experience or 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing.
• Ability to read and follow assembly blueprints and procedures.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and adhering to safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test landing gear shock struts and components per drawings and procedures.
• Perform replacements/repairs/retrofits of MLG, NLG, linkages, actuators and LRUs as required.
• Conduct electrical/hydraulic functional tests per instructions and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, team-oriented work environment and participate in TPM/LEAN/5S initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement and standard work; assist with sub-assemblies and calibration tasks.
