Job summary

STELIA North America is seeking a Commercial & Contracts Director to lead contract review, negotiation, and risk management for aerospace projects in Lunenburg, NS. You will drive compliance, coordinate with senior stakeholders, and oversee export control processes while guiding commercial strategies across pre-contract, delivery, and supply chain phases.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
8–10 years in commercial/contracts administration, preferably in aerospace/defense.
2–3 years negotiating complex contracts with diverse stakeholders.
Exposure to Export Control programs and Technology Access Agreements.
Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate organizational risks.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and negotiating client/supplier agreements.

Responsibilities

Pre-contract: review contracts and T&Cs, deliver compliance matrices and negotiation strategies.
Contract delivery: ensure program contracts are understood and managed, monitor breach risks and pricing changes.
Supply chain: coordinate with leaders to secure suppliers, flow down risks and manage insurance and leases.
Flow down regulatory requirements and assist in governance of contract changes through proposals.
Assist in enforcement of authorities’ delegation and prepare for gate reviews.
