Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Configuration Management Coordinator to join a leading aerospace manufacturer supporting a $2bn Department of National Defence (DND) helicopter service program. This position is hybrid, 2-3x a week in office in Gatineau, QC.

The Configuration Management Coordinator provides on-site configuration management (CM) support for the CH146 Griffon helicopter fleet, ensuring technical airworthiness and integration of new capabilities.

Base pay range

CA$90,000.00 / yr - CA$110,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities
  • Lead CM activities for aircraft modifications, inspections, maintenance programs, and safety documentation.
  • Maintain Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) systems and manage technical records within the Integrated Information Environment (IIE).
  • Monitor reports, equipment IDs, transfer orders, and CH146-specific communications.
  • Organize and support Joint Product Change Board (JPCB) and CM Working Group meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
  • Maintain and update the CH146 WSM Configuration Management Plan and support policy changes under evolving organizational structures.
  • Assist in configuration audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards.
  • Act as a bridge between HQ operations and DND teams to resolve non-standard issues and coordinate change requests.
  • Retrieve and analyze maintenance records from systems like Performa, ADAM, AMR, and MDAP.
  • Help track and report on the fleet’s airworthiness status.
Required skills and experience
  • College diploma or equivalent DND technician training in aircraft maintenance or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 4 years in configuration management, ideally with military airborne systems (fixed or rotary wing).
  • Functional proficiency in French
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to gain Secret or NATO Secret level clearance
Nice to have skills and experience
  • Familiarity with CM standards like EIA-649, MIL-STD-973, or MIL-HDBK-61
