Responsibilities

  • Remediate the current AEM codebase to ensure full compatibility with AEM as a Cloud Service.
  • Guarantee that all current functionality remains intact after code modifications.
  • Ensure all test cases pass successfully.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer (KT) sessions.
  • Attend weekly status meetings and provide progress updates.
  • Collaborate with architects when new technologies or code rewrites are proposed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in software development.
  • Strong knowledge of AEM Sites (on-premise and cloud-ready development).
  • Solid understanding of Java, OSGi, and JCR (Java Content Repository API – javax.jcr.
  • Familiarity with Apache Sling request processing and REST principles.
  • Experience working with CRX (Content Repository) and Apache Jackrabbit.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and understanding of the request / response cycle.
  • Experience with AEM Cloud Readiness Tools (e.g., Best Practices Analyzer, Pattern Detector).
  • Ability to work with HTL / Sightly and interpret or modify JSPs if needed (for classic UI).
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and ensuring high code coverage.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge transfer skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Position duration : 5 months.
