Job description

Join the Esri AEC web integration team to design, develop, test, and enhance Esri web integration with engineering and construction processes for the future of sustainable buildings and infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to transform engineering processes by bringing the insights and spatial analytics of GIS into the world of architecture, engineering, and construction for firms, building and infrastructure owners, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Design innovative cloud-centric AEC workflows that help customers bring the value GIS to the world of engineered infrastructure.
  • Work within the AEC product team to write user stories and design integrated workflows for project delivery and asset portfolio management.
  • Develop strategies and tools to automate testing, deployment, and management of test data sets at real-world scales.
  • Develop best-practices for BIM Project Management using Geographic Information Systems, AI/ML, and the latest advancements in Civil engineering processes and techniques.
  • Write high-level documentation for the new AEC web integration product.
  • Participate in team design reviews and advocate for clean and understandable workflows.
  • Collaborate with Global Business Development, Product Management, Solutions, and Software Development teams to advocate for and drive AEC requirements across teams.
  • Work closely with customers, partners, and industry leaders to advocate for and collect requirements for the future of AEC-GIS integration.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with Esri’s ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online, desktop, or other GIS products and at least one Autodesk CAD system.
  • Understanding of REST API concepts.
  • Exceptional communication skills in writing, presentation, and conversation.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Self-starter who is motivated to successfully manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, or a GIS-related field.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Experience with CAD/GIS integration and translation techniques and methods.
  • Experience implementing or using BIM standards such as buildingSMART or ISO 19650.
  • Experience with engineering project management or practical project experience as an engineer or engineering technologist.
  • Experience with engineering data collection or integration for real-world engineering projects including remote sensing, CAD data integration, document management, and legacy document migration or conversion.
  • Master’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, or a GIS-related field.
