Job summary

American Eagle Outfitters Inc. is seeking a full-time Selling Team Leader in Ottawa, ON. You will drive store performance, lead daily operations, and coach a team to deliver an unforgettable guest experience while upholding brand standards.

YOUR ROLE

As the full‑time Selling Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader’s "go‑to" in developing and implementing the business strategy and leading the daily operations of the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into high‑performing sellers who consistently provide an unforgettable guest experience. Through your leadership, your team always nails sales goals, rocks merchandising brand standards, and delivers operational excellence. Most importantly, you represent our company values and bring your REAL self to work every day.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You have a passion for driving sales: As a key LOD (Leader on Duty), you are an expert at maximising Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class experience. You contribute to the overall financial success of the store by analysing reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions, and you help develop short and long‑term plans to drive key KPIs.
• You’re a people leader: You motivate and inspire your team through AEO’s core values, hold them accountable to customer‑service standards on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room, and model the behaviours you expect.
• You’ve got an eye for talent and a love of training: You recruit and hire strong talent, ensuring the store is staffed to meet business needs, and you train and develop the team so they continue to deliver outstanding service.
• You know teamwork makes the dream work: You provide ongoing performance feedback, conduct real‑time coaching, manage touch‑bases, development plans, and performance reviews, and celebrate team achievements – #winning!
• You’re an operational innovator: You execute and innovate daily procedures, support visual standards across the store, and keep the Fitting Rooms guest‑ready while maintaining AEO Brand Standards.
