Advisory Identity Strategist
SailPoint is seeking an Identity Strategist security professional to serve as an Identity Strategist in support the growth of our Canadian business. You will partner with our sales teams by applying your Telecommunications or Financial Services and Security expertise plus business acumen in support of SailPoint’s growth objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Security program and operational experience in the Telecommunications or Financial Services industry, including regulatory compliance, cloud security, risk, Zero Trust, and applying Cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and CIS. A thorough understanding of Identity, Governance, User Administration, and Access Management Your most important attributes are attitude and aptitude. Successful crew members come from diverse experiences such as: in-house security team leaders, vendor Field CTO - CISO teams, and/or consulting firms with an emphasis on security and identity programs.
Must-have attributes include exceptional communication skills, high EQ, expertise in discovering customer requirements, and the ability to develop and deliver presentations and messaging that aligns SailPoint solutions to our customers’ desired business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Create content (i.e., presentations, blogs, whitepapers, maturity assessment, videos) tying SailPoint solutions to the business challenges and regulations of the Financial Services industry
Discover and understand customer requirements and align our solutions to those requirements
C-level strategic engagement in large complex sales cycles
Lead and influence customers on their identity journey
Build relationships with key customers, partners, and industry thought leaders
Participation in Executive Briefing programs, roadshows, and roundtables
Participation in customer advisory boards and user groups
Influence product management decisions
Delivery of product roadmap and vision to customers
Coach Account Executives and Solution Engineers on SailPoint messaging
Maintain a regular cadence with Customer Services Managers, Professional Services, and Support to understand real life product performance, issues, and challenges
Requirements:
15+ years professional experience of Security implementation, operations, and/or vendor experience
10+ years working with Identity, Governance and Access Management solutions
15+ years of Financial Services industry experience
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
A working knowledge of technical infrastructure including web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, and directories is required
Strong knowledge of Identity and Cybersecurity market trend and landscape
Deep understanding of the common business challenges, applications, regulations, and security landscape in the Financial Services industry
Location:
Residence in Canada, preferably Toronto
We anticipate 25% travel and flexibility to travel within the Americas will be necessary.
Education:
Advanced Degree Preferred but not required
