The Opportunity

The edge computing market is experiencing explosive growth, driven by rising AI workloads, real-time processing needs, and increasing cloud costs. Yet most organizations struggle to deploy edge AI — the vendor ecosystem is fragmented, software is immature, and deploying real-world use cases like machine vision or predictive maintenance often fails at PoC.

Diagram is building an edge-native platform to help companies unlock scalable EdgeAI. The platform manages hardware with pre-qualified vendors and offers a unified platform for edge orchestration and no-code AI model management. This venture aims to help mid-market companies increase edge computing adoption, reducing high energy use, cooling demands, and water consumption associated with data transmission and processing in hyperscale data centers.

Diagram is currently de-risking this venture to validate product-market fit, technical risks, and market landscape. As an advisor, you’ll help guide the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy, identify strategic use cases and customer segments, and support the team with commercial introductions and industry insights, while retaining the opportunity to transition to a founder role.

Who We’re Looking For

As an Advisor, you will bring product intuition, market understanding, and domain expertise in edge computing, AI, or industrial platforms. You will act as a trusted partner to the founding team, advising on focus areas, what to build, and product positioning. You will collaborate closely with Diagram Ventures, providing insights on scaling from 0 to 1, product development, and ecosystem integration.

Requirements

• Industry Knowledge: Experience in edge computing, industrial IoT, or AI infrastructure — ideally with hardware/software integration or deploying AI in resource-constrained environments
• Strategic Product Thinking: Proven ability to advise early-stage teams on product-market fit, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies
• Network & Commercial Acumen: Strong network in manufacturing, energy, logistics, retail, or related sectors with potential to unlock early customers or pilots
• Communication & Collaboration: Comfortable working closely with founders and venture studios; able to articulate insights clearly
