About the role

The Advisor – People & Culture provides high quality advice and support to managers and staff on a range of People & Culture matters. You will work closely with our People & Culture Team in supporting the delivery of cyclical HR programs and strategic projects. This role will be responsible for effective, timely support and advice to leaders and employees in the organization.

The position will be on a 5 days on / 2 days off / 4 days on / 3 days off roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario(NO FIFO). We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth.

Key result areas in this role include :

  • Participate in workforce planning and support department heads with recruitment and selection requirements
  • Develop strategies that foster employee engagement
  • Develop performance driven culture using performance and development management systems
  • Drive employee performance / excellence through organizational development programs
  • Address employee relations concerns and questions
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and respect employee confidentiality
  • Various other People & Culture related strategic activities

About you

As an Advisor – People & Culture, you will ideally have at minimum a College Diploma related to Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or other related fields. CHRP / CHRL designation is not required but is considered desirable.

It is also important that you have / can demonstrate :

  • Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Previous Human Resources experience in Mining Industry is desirable
  • Previous experience using HRIS (Success Factors) is also considered an asset
  • Understanding of Employment Standards Act, Human Rights legislation, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other relevant legislations
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Adaptive and responsive to change with the ability to handle a fast paced work environment
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Experience with accounting, budgeting, and remuneration process is also desirable
