About Brucejack

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Your Impact

As an Advisor, People Business Partner at Newmont Brucejack, you’ll play a key role in supporting leaders and employees on-site by delivering core HR programs and driving an inclusive, high-performance culture. Your work will directly support strategic workforce planning, employee engagement, and leadership development while ensuring compliance and operational excellence in a remote, fast-paced mining environment.

As Part of Our Team, You Will
  • Partner with site leaders to deliver proactive HR guidance on performance, employee relations, compensation, and organizational planning
  • Lead or support investigations, conflict resolution, and leave management in collaboration with the HR Service Centre
  • Facilitate onboarding, supervisor training, and HR-related development programs to build team capability and cohesion
  • Support annual HR programs including performance & pay cycles, succession planning, and talent reviews
  • Manage organizational change efforts and the integration of new HR tools and processes
  • Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies, and support site engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate with regional/global COEs and assist with various HR projects that drive business results
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a People Business Partner, HR Advisor, or HR Generalist role
  • Proven ability to influence and coach leaders in a complex, operational environment
  • Experience handling complex employee relations, investigations, and leave of absence cases
  • Strong working knowledge of BC employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Experience working in mining, industrial, or remote FIFO environments is an asset
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • CPHR designation or working toward certification is an asset
Your Work Environment
  • Location: Brucejack Mine, remote fly-in/fly-out camp
  • Rotation: 13 days on / 13 days off + 2 travel days
  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts in a remote camp setting
  • Conditions: Exposure to alpine weather and remote work conditions
  • Requirements: Pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and a criminal record check

We are now recruiting for the position of Advisor, People Business Partner with a competitive salary range of CAD $83,400 – CAD $111,180, with an additional short-term target incentive of 15%. The offered base salary will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.
