Manulife is seeking an Advisor Onboarding and Transition professional in Burlington to coordinate onboarding activities for wealth-advisor transitions, maintain advisor/client data, and ensure regulatory documentation is thorough and compliant.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Administration, or a related field.

Summary

The Advisor Onboarding and Transition professional supports advisors as they transition their books of business to Manulife Wealth Inc. and other wealth lines of business. This role coordinates onboarding activities, maintains accurate advisor and client information, supports regulatory documentation, and partners with internal teams to deliver a seamless and positive transition experience.

Position Responsibilities
  • Act as support for advisors transitioning their books of business to Manulife Wealth Inc. and other wealth lines of business.
  • Lead onboarding and transition activities for standard and lower-complexity advisor recruits and smaller practices.
  • Support larger, more complex advisor transitions under the guidance of senior team members and leadership.
  • Accurately input and maintain advisor and client information in internal systems.
  • Ensure all compliance and legal documentation is completed and stored securely, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Manage onboarding activities for new advisors, including account setup and integration with existing systems.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Compliance, IT, Licensing, and Operations to facilitate a seamless transition.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for onboarding-related inquiries and assist in resolving issues throughout the onboarding process.
  • Escalate complex onboarding challenges, exceptions, and risks as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with transitioning advisors to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
  • Act as a liaison between advisors and internal teams to address questions and facilitate timely solutions.
  • Gather feedback from advisors regarding their onboarding experience and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement best practices and improve overall efficiency.
  • Support onboarding meetings, training sessions, advisor events, and transition-related activities as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in operations, advisor support, or financial services.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong data accuracy and documentation management skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple onboarding activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-profile, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to travel across Canada up to 20%-30% of the time.

Salary range is expected to be between

$62,850.00 CAD - $104,750.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
