Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR), part of the Glencore Group, is seeking an Advisor, Human Resources to lead and assist with a broad range of HR services. Reporting to the Senior Advisor, HR, you will support internal operations and build relationships with employees across departments in BC.

The successful candidate will have a degree in HR or related field, at least six years of HR experience, and strong integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources, Business or Organizational Development or equivalent.
• Minimum six years of Human Resources experience.
• Experience in unionized environments is an asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Participate in health and safety programs and policies.
• Provide coaching and resources to employees and supervisors on career development, compensation, recruiting, performance management and employee relations.
• Navigate through labour relations issues.
• Investigate employee relations issues while maintaining confidentiality, consistency, and sensitivity.
• Support and participate in the disability management process.
• Provide support for the People Central Performance and Development programs and the Human Resources Information System.
• Generate regular and ad hoc reports on specific HR metrics.
• Facilitate supervisor development workshops on HR topics.

In this role you will:

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
