Mitacs, a national non-profit, connects industry and non-profit partners with Canada's top post-secondary talent to solve strategic challenges and foster innovation.

Our business development team acts as a bridge between academia and industry, identifying opportunities and promoting Mitacs programs. We are looking for an Academic-Industry Partnership Advisor to work with Western University, engaging researchers and students with industry partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with Mitacs teams and Western University stakeholders to deliver programs and understand research needs.
  2. Building and maintaining a network of industry and academic partners.
  3. Introducing organizations to Mitacs programs and researchers.
  4. Supporting business development and program administration, including negotiations and agreements.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A recent Master's or PhD, preferably from Western University.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Creativity and adaptability.

Applicants with an active social network and community engagement will be prioritized. The salary range is $71,200 - $84,550, with potential for above-range pay only in exceptional cases.
