Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is 3 over 7.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

Do you have a passion for rehabilitation? Then you have an amazing opportunity to join a motivated AHP team, developing the role of nutrition and dietetics in the National Scottish Spinal Injuries Unit. This post has been funded by the National Service Directorate and will be based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. You will be an integral member of the ward- based AHP team, assessing and supporting patients from the acute ICU admission to discharge and participating in the development of national standards of dietetic care and outcome measures.

The role sits in the Dietetic Rehabilitation Team, which has a strong focus of leading innovative practice. There will be an opportunity to explore emerging aspects of nutrition support in relation to sarcopenia, and mapping of nutritional status post-injury.

It is essential that you are educated to BSc/MSc-level in dietetics and registered with the HCPC. You should have post-graduate clinical experience working in nutrition support and the acute rehabilitation environment as part of a clinical team.
