Advanced Software Developer - Montreal

Location: Anywhere in Canada (home-based)

This requires us to understand their needs very well, and this is where UX Design plays a critical role. As a member of the Open Applications UX team, you will use your knowledge and expertise to drive usability improvements for new and existing digital-twin-based workflows. Your work will support the productivity of infrastructure Project Managers, Engineers, and Architects worldwide. You will contribute to creating delightful experiences between our engineering software (desktop) products and our analytical/review platform (web).

Your responsibilities include:

1. Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and manage scope in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
2. Contributing to user research activities
3. Translating user research findings into insights and design improvements
4. Ensuring designs are consistent with our design system and contributing to it

We expect you to have:

• A professional portfolio showcasing your skills, especially problem-solving
• Prior exposure to CAD (Computer Aided Design) and engineering analysis and design software
• Proficiency in Figma
• Experience in rapid and high-fidelity prototyping
• Strong visual design skills and an eye for detail
• Fluency in both written and spoken English

Additional points for consideration:

• Familiarity with desktop software design guidelines
• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience, or related field
• NN/g Certification
• Familiarity with infrastructure field
