Job summary

Bio-Techne is seeking an Advanced QC Technician to support the Consumables Manufacturing team on the swing shift. You will perform detailed inspections, conduct assay testing, and maintain quality documentation to meet safety and quality targets.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, collaboration with engineering, manufacturing and R&D, and adherence to GMP. Hours are 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, with a target annual cash bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of quality control in life sciences or medical devices.
• Technical Skills: Lab equipment, inspection tools, software, testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Quality Inspection and Testing: inspect materials, components and finished products to ensure specs and standards are met.
• Documentation and Reporting: record findings, deviations and prepare quality reports and CAPAs.
• Continuous Improvement: identify trends and implement CAPAs with cross-functional teams.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure GMP-compliant work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Inspection and Testing:

• Perform detailed inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, tolerances, and standards
• Conductassaytesting usinglaboratoryequipment (e.g.,pipettes,centrifuges,testfixturesand other analytical instruments) tovalidatethe performance andof consumable cartridges.
• Maintain accuracy in test records,travelers,logs, and quality documentation.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Accurately document findings, anomalies, and deviations, compiling data for product quality reports, CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and risk assessments.
• Assistin revising or developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to align with best practices.
• Support audits by preparing and presenting quality documentation for regulatory inspections or internal reviews.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identifytrends in quality control data to highlight recurring issues and propose process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and process enhancements.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on quality standards and inspection/assay testingtechniques.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all workcomplies withquality management systems, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:BS in Biology, Chemistry,Biochemistryor related discipline preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 2years of quality control experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry.
• Technical Skills:Proficiencyin usinglab equipment,inspection tools, software, and testing methodologies. Familiarity with statistical analysis and tools like JMP is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve quality issues effectively.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical documentation and liaising with multidisciplinary teams.
