Magna International seeks aQuality Engineer to support PPAP timing, APQP requirements, and advanced product validation within Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting in Ontario. The role emphasizes leading warranty analyses, coordinating with design and purchasing, and ensuring compliance with PDP and supplier processes.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years in mechanical/quality engineering, ASQC CQE certification preferred, and prior Tier 1 automotive experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of community college diploma/certificate.
• Post-secondary education program in mechanical/quality engineering.
• ASQC certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
• Tier 1 automotive experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead PPAP timing and phased PPAP alignment with customers.
• Review government approvals and development of inspection standards.
• Lead plant trials for engineering changes, tool moves and new program launches.
• Lead launch and warranty issue resolution for customer quality concerns.
• Coordinate internal drawings reviews and PFMEA sign-off.
• Develop and maintain PV plans, validation schedules, and containment systems.
• Support pre-production builds and test fixture verification.
• Ensure timely closure of issues and maintain rigorous documentation.

Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.Job Responsibilities:RESPONSIBILITIES:• Lead, participant and approve Customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) timing (Phased PPAP)• Ensures all APQP requirements are known/tracked/adhered to using planned milestones• Review Government Approvals required and developed Inspection Standards• Leads Plant trials for Engineering changes, Tool Moves and New Program Launches• Lead Launch and Warranty issue resolution in problem solving for applicable customer quality concerns.
