Overview

Aramco, a leader in the global energy industry, is seeking an experienced APC Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) team within the Reliability Solutions Department (RSD). This role involves providing expert guidance on advanced process control technologies, leading improvement initiatives, and supporting refinery operations to optimize performance and yield.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and monitor programs and KPIs to improve APC and economic performance.
  • Analyze data from process variables, instrumentation, and control systems for improvement opportunities.
  • Develop inferential models to enhance refinery efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement APC strategies, conduct feasibility studies, and establish business cases.
  • Evaluate new APC technologies such as Real-Time Optimization, Machine Learning, and AI.
  • Lead technical reviews, model assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with optimization and engineering teams to meet project requirements.
  • Review standards and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years of reliability engineering experience in the Oil and Gas downstream sector; 20+ years preferred.
  • Expertise in APC, control systems, and OPC.
  • Strong understanding of refinery economics, mass and energy balances.
  • Knowledge of international standards for APC, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
