The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Mental Health and Addictions, the Advanced Practice Leader (APL), Education and Training, provides strategic direction, leadership, and support for education and training across the MHA program. The APL will oversee professional development, identify educational needs, develop educational frameworks, and support initiatives aligned with the program’s strategic goals. Collaboration with managers, educators, and staff is essential to meet professional development goals, and the APL will support program evaluation, research, and competency development.

Hours of Work
8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday (some flexibility may be required)

Your Qualifications

• Masters in Education or Adult Education required.
• PhD in Education or Educational Studies required.
• Registered with the applicable licensing body, if applicable.
• Minimum 5 years experience with program design, development, and evaluation.
• Minimum 4 years experience in developing educational programs and professional development initiatives.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in healthcare leadership required.
• Experience with curriculum development and adult education programming.
• Knowledge of the Choice and Partnership approach (CAPA), required.
• Experience with change initiatives and building high-performance teams.
• Strong cultural competence and understanding of social determinants of health.
• Ability to evaluate educational outcomes and foster collaboration and confidence among team members.
• Proficiency in teaching, facilitation, emerging technologies, e-learning, and LEAN approaches.
• Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Additional language skills are an asset.
