The full-time, permanent Lead / Liaison will be responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation of best practice guidelines (BPGs) within CAMH. They will work with a team of individuals to promote evidence-based practices and create a culture of continuous improvement. The Lead / Liaison will be responsible for communicating effectively with Site Lead, Director, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals and deliverables within projected timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead BPSO implementation at CAMH
  • Understanding and embracing implementation science within an evidence-based framework
  • Lead change and promote best practices within the organization
  • Delegate and follow up on BPSO-related activities and deliverables
  • Flexibility to work on projects and meet deadlines within the dedicated time for BPSO activities
  • Lead meetings and BPSO-related activities
  • Integrate best practices into existing policies, workflows, routines, and roles across the organization
  • Communicate BPSO work with staff through education, newsletters, bulletin boards, and social media
  • Empower and develop staff to become champions through recruitment, capacity development, and retention
  • Develop presentations and present to small and large groups at local / regional conferences and webinars
  • Develop a sustainability plan to maintain an evidence-based culture within the organization
  • Communicate effectively with Site Lead on BPSO progress
  • Demonstrate commitment, knowledge, skill, judgment, and motivation to support the implementation of BPGs
  • Critically linking BPG implementation with CAHM existing strategic plans and quality improvement projects
  • Attendance and active participation in RNAO-hosted knowledge exchange initiatives
  • Represent CAMH at progress / final report review meetings with the RNAO
  • Collaborate with BPG implementation Site Lead and / or CAMH Data Management for data collection, tracking, submission, and evaluation
  • Gain foundational knowledge of BPG implementation through workshops, institutes, and implementation tools
  • Collaborate with the Site lead to create a succession plan to ensure continuity of evidence-based work in case of unavailability
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, or a related field required
  • Masters degree in nursing, or a related field required
  • Experience in project management and leading teams
  • Experience in implementation science and best practices preferred
  • Skills and knowledge to lead change
  • Ability to delegate and follow-up on BPSO-related activities and deliverables
  • Flexibility to work on projects and meet deadlines within dedicated time for BPSO activities
  • Ability to lead meetings and BPSO-related activities
  • Ability to create a BPSO footprint within the organization and promote an evidence-based culture
  • Ability to develop presentations and present to small and large groups
  • Ability (or a willingness to learn) to develop a sustainability plan to maintain an evidence-based culture
  • Initiative to work independently and overcome barriers and competing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Site Lead(s) and teams
  • Commitment, knowledge, skill, judgment, and motivation to support implementation of BPG
  • Understanding and embrace of implementation science within an evidence-based framework
  • Critical thinking skills to link BPG implementation with existing strategic plans and QIP
