Job description

Hallmark is a Halifax based dental lab serving dental clinics and their patients in Atlantic Canada. We are looking to hire a responsible and experienced orthodontic technician to join our growing team. The advanced orthodontic technician is responsible for manufacturing and repairing all types of orthodontic appliances. The advanced orthodontic technician will work closely with our dentists and clinics in a co-treatment relationship. Our ideal candidate is someone with with 3-5 years previous experience in orthodontic work.

To ensure success in this position, you should have extensive knowledge of all dental technologies and use your expertise while creating a safe and pleasing environment and high-quality products and services.

Orthodontic Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Fit orthodontic bands to models
  • Bend wire
  • Solder wire
  • Weld wire
  • Make vacuum form stents on Erkoform and Biostar
  • Trim vacuum form stents
  • Set denture teeth for retainers
  • Acrylic powder/liquid work
  • Working knowledge of all ortho appliances
Orthodontic Technician Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience working in orthodontics
  • Experience in complex cases is essential
  • Intense visual concentration when working on dental cases
  • Strong communicator when working on dental cases
  • Excellent attention to detail
