Advanced Manufacturing Project Specialist

Our Engineering Services division is dedicated to advancing our Advanced Manufacturing initiative, which focuses on developing expertise in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital transformation. This initiative equips our workforce with the skills needed to thrive in the future of manufacturing.

About This Role

This role leans heavily into project management, coordination, and analysis. Working with the Advanced Manufacturing Team and strategic external partners, you’ll help develop and manage structured project plans, track progress in accordance with formalized government frameworks, and facilitate timely communication between stakeholders. You’ll also contribute business analysis support—mapping processes, capturing requirements, and identifying early-stage improvement opportunities—while building your capabilities in a supportive environment.

The Successful Candidate's Duties Will Include

Project Management & Coordination

  • Develop and maintain project plans and schedules, aligning with structured reporting and accountability frameworks.
  • Track project milestones, update task progress, and support the development of formal reporting packages.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors / partners to maintain alignment on deliverables and timelines.
  • Manage project documentation using tools like SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and DevOps.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare AI-assisted meeting notes, and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
  • Support communication efforts through polished presentations and stakeholder-ready materials.

Business Analysis

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business and system requirements.
  • Create and maintain process maps, workflow diagrams, and use cases.
  • Translate business needs into clear, structured documentation (e.g., BRDs, user stories).
  • Contribute to testing activities, including the development of test cases and participation in UAT.
  • Provide insights and support continuous improvement by tracking early metrics and outcomes.
  • Operate independently and adapt quickly to shifting priorities while learning and growing in the role

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Completed coursework or certification in Project Management and / or Business Analysis.
  • 2–5 years of experience in project management, coordination, or business analysis.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, OT environments, or technology-led operational improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project for scheduling and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with an ability to tailor content to different audiences.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Experience creating process maps and documentation to support project and analysis work.
  • Familiarity with documentation and collaboration platforms like SharePoint and Azure DevOps

Nice To Have

  • PMP designation or related project management certification.
  • IIBA ECBA or similar business analysis credential.
  • Experience working with or within government-funded project structures or public-private partnerships.
  • Familiarity with BPMN, ArchiMate, or other modeling frameworks.
