Job summary

The City of Red Deer Municipal Government is seeking an Advanced Lifeguard Instructor Leader 1 to oversee safe aquatic operations across Collicutt Centre, G.H Dawe Centre, Michener Aquatic Centre, or Recreation Centre. Qualifications

• Two years Lifeguarding experience.
• Two years instructing advanced aquatic programs (Lifesaving Courses).
• Ability to exert physical effort and respond calmly to emergencies.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable aquatic facility and ensure patron safety.
• Provide on‑deck leadership; supervise staff and mentor team members.
• Deliver and oversee safe, high‑quality aquatic programs and monitor instructors.
• Plan, equip, and deliver programs and events according to schedules.
• Comply with health and safety standards and maintain records and reports.
• Support organizational health and safety initiatives and perform related duties.
