GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is looking to fill multiple Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) positions in 2025. These positions do not require previous fire training. Those hired will have the opportunity to obtain fire training if they choose to become qualified Firefighter Advanced Care Paramedics. These are exciting and challenging career opportunities based in Fort McMurray. The Regional Emergency Services (RES) Department is a fully integrated Fire / EMS service that provides advanced life support including helicopter medical and rescue services within our region. These positions are within the IAFF Local 2494 Union.
