This posting will be used to fill auxiliary on call positions working 75 hours bi-weekly.

It will establish a 3-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions within Yukon EMS

This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon .

The Yukon's Emergency Medical Services (YEMS) team delivers a wide scope of pre-hospital care. We deliver medical interventions, treatments, and quality care in every corner of the Yukon. Leadership, dedication, and partnership guides our work.

Who We Are Looking For

This position is responsible for providing advanced pre-hospital care to residents and visitors to the Yukon, utilizing Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) education and Advanced Life Support (ALS) skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. This care is provided in ground ambulance operations with Yukon EMS.

Conditions of employment

You must meet the following conditions before being hired, or within the time frame noted.

valid ACP licence from a paramedic governing body in Canada without conditions or restrictions ) (COPR certificate will be considered as equivalent at time of hire, but will have one year to obtain license in southern jurisdiction),TB Screening ; RCMP check with vulnerable sector check; and class 4 Yukon driver’s license (or equivalent)
