Job summary

24/7 OEMS is seeking a Canadian Certified Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) to work at a Yukon mine on a fly-in/fly-out schedule. The ACP will practice under medical directives, joining on-site and remote clinical teams with access to 24/7 emergency medicine consultants.

Shifts are 12 hours with a three-week-on, three-week-off rotation. The role offers above-industry pay, flights and accommodations, and a benefits package after 90 days, along with development funding and scholarship opportunities.

Qualifications

24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions is looking for Canadian Certified Advanced Care Paramedic (current and in good standing) to work at a mine located in the Yukon. The Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) would be joining a team of Advanced Care Paramedics. Our occupational health clinic is supported remotely by a team of ER physicians.

The Certified Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) will be expected to practice within the medical directives and formulary as approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director. The ACP will work as part of the on-site and remote clinical team and have access to our 24/7 on-call emergency medicine consultants. Prior experience in occupational medicine and or the provision of care in a remote setting would be an asset.

Overview:

• Location: Remote mining location in the Yukon (fly-in/fly-out)
• Shifts: 12-hour

• Support: Full access to our emergency medicine team for consultation
• Travel:Flights and accommodations to and from site are provided
• Requirement: Must have a current Canadian Advanced Care Paramedic licence in good standing

The ACPs will be expected to:

• Provide emergency medical care to injured or ill workers, including making transport decisions within their scope of practice.
• The ACP approved scope of practice will primarily align with their provincial licensing / governing body, including delegated medical acts approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director, individual competence and training in selected skills, urgency of patient condition, and on-site medical resources.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly rate is equivalent to $770 plus 4% (in lieu of vacation) per 12-hour day
