24/7 OEMS is seeking Canadian Certified Advanced Care Paramedics to work at remote mine sites in Nunavut. The ACP will join a clinical team and provide on-site medical care with access to remote ER physicians.

Shifts are 12 hours with a two weeks on / two weeks off rotation; flights and accommodations are provided. Applicants must hold an ACP licence in good standing, BLS and ACLS, with prior experience in occupational or remote settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Canadian Advanced Care Paramedic licence in good standing is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required.

24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions is looking for Canadian Certified Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP) to work at a large mine in the Bathurst Inlet region of Nunavut. The ACP would be joining a team of medical professionals including Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, Advanced Care Paramedics, and Primary Care Paramedics. Our occupational health clinic is supported remotely by a team of ER physicians.

The Canadian Certified Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) will be expected to practice within the medical directives and formulary as approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director. The ACP will work as part of the on-site and remote clinical team and have access to our 24/7 on-call emergency medicine consultants. Prior experience in occupational medicine and or the provision of care in a remote setting would be an asset.

Overview:

• Location: Remote mining locations in Nunavut (fly-in/fly-out)
• Shifts: 12-hour (day shifts)
• Rotation: Two weeks on / two weeks off
• Duties:Provide medical support for any injuries or illnesses on-site
• Support: Full access to our emergency medicine team for consultation
• Travel: Flights and accommodations to and from site are provided
• Requirement: Must hold a current Advanced Care Paramedic licence in good standing

The ACPs will be expected to:

• Provide emergency medical care to injured or ill workers, including making transport decisions within their scope of practice.
• The ACP approved scope of practice will primarily align with their provincial licensing / governing body, including delegated medical acts approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director, individual competence and training in selected skills, urgency of patient condition, and on-site medical resources.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly rate is equivalent to $770 plus 4% (in lieu of vacation) per 12-hour day
