Job Purpose
The Adult Mental Health Therapist works within a multidisciplinary team to provide prevention, assessment, referral, clinical counselling and follow-up services to Enoch’s community members in need. The Adult Mental Health Therapist will develop care plans that are tailored to meet individual needs. By weaving together western medicine and traditional wellness practices the counsellor plays a pivotal role in supporting clients to navigate the complex challenges they face, while supporting their emotional well-being, resilience, and personal growth. By facilitating a safe and supportive environment, they empower the client to explore and address their mental health concerns, develop coping strategies, and build healthier relationships. The Adult Mental Health Therapist’s dedication to promoting mental health awareness in the community contributes to destigmatizing mental illnesses, contributing to a community where people feel valued, understood, and supported on their journey toward mental wellness. Services and supports will be extended to include family as needed or requested. Services may also be provided to the community members in the form of psycho-educational workshops and presentations.
