Job description

Thank you for your interest in the Adult Day School Teacher - Biology, Science and English as a Second Language posting.

Interested candidates are required to complete the following online application to the attention of: The Recruitment Team. This position is effective January 28, 2025, and ends on or about June 12, 2025.

Salary Rate: Hourly rate based on teaching experience and OSSTF or QECO rating statement.

Please Note: These positions are pending student enrollment and are effective for the 2024/25 school year. Teachers are hired to teach 9-week Quads. Positions may be renewed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Biology, Science and/or English as a Secondary Language qualifications.
  • Experience in teaching adult students is preferred.

The Community and International Education Services (CIES) hiring protocol allows teachers to teach and/or administrate for two CIES sessions per school year.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates will be required to submit a current original Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) from the police jurisdiction in which they reside.
