Job description

Position Summary

• To be aware with hand over protocol and go with a driver to pick up/drop off clients
• To assist a program leader to facilitate ADP programs including setting up before and cleaning after each program
• To Assist ADP staff to serve meals and snacks
• To provide support in toileting such as escorting the client to go washroom

Additional Information

• Initial Volunteer orientation to agency and program;
• On-the-job shadowing/scheduled training with an experienced volunteer or staff.
• Coordinator provides on-going support, answer questions and explain policies.
• Volunteer will be trained to carry out activation programs and working with seniors.
• An opportunity to become acquainted and socialize with the program participants, working as a team with program staff and other volunteers;
• The knowledge of playing a vital role in the success of the community services;
• Gain knowledge of the frail elderly;
• An invitation to the Annual Volunteer Recognition Event;
• Letter of Reference (after completion or required duration).

Minimum age

Minimum hours per week

4 hours shifts: in the morning from 8:30am to 12:30pm or afternoon from 12:00pm to 4:00pm
