Job summary

Chinook's Edge School Division invites applications for a full-time temporary teaching position serving our Innisfail and Penhold school communities, effective immediately to June 30, 2027. The successful applicant will possess a valid Alberta Teacher Certificate, and be required to provide a criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in foundational literacy and numeracy intervention frameworks.
Deep understanding of executive functioning, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and emotional regulation strategies for adolescents.
Proven track record of supporting diverse learning profiles and neurodivergent students across grades 7-12.

Responsibilities

Deliver targeted, small-group interventions to address learning gaps in middle and high school.
Conduct initial screenings to identify lagging skills, establish baseline data, and monitor progress.
Design and implement Multi-Tiered Systems of Support with specialized, individualized programming.
Utilize screening tools and targeted assessments to establish baseline data and track progress.
Monitor MTSS outcomes using structured data-tracking systems and adjust instructional approaches.
Maintain detailed progress records and report outcomes to key stakeholders.
