Job summary

Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in Whitby is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support the Adolescent Inpatient and Eating Disorder Programs. The role involves assessments, case management, and delivering individual and group interventions within a team-based model of care.

The successful candidate will have a Master of Occupational Therapy, be registered in good standing with the Ontario College of Occupational Therapists, and bring 3–5 years of psychiatric/mental health

Qualifications

• Master of Occupational Therapy is required.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Occupational Therapists in good standing is required.
• Experience in psychiatric/mental health settings with youth is preferred.
• Knowledge of DSM-V and relevant privacy acts is expected.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and provide assessment, case management, and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, case management, and individual and group interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver care.
• Coordinate discharge planning and liaise with referral sources and community partners.
• Document care in accordance with hospital guidelines and professional standards.
