HOURS:

40 hours per week; Typically 9AM to 6PM with some variation Mon- Fri.; additional weekend or evenings may be required based on business need.
Potential for travel to conferences, college fairs, and recruitment/community events.

Position Overview

The Re-Entry Advisor is responsible for driving re-entry enrollments to the campus by guiding the student through the re-entry application process. This involves building rapport with students to understand their educational goals, matching their needs with Herzing University’s offerings, and advising on academic and personal concerns while outlining re-entry requirements.

Pay:

Compensation is based on qualifications and experience. The hourly pay range is $23.17 to $31.39. Benefits include tuition waiver and reimbursement, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement plan.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or two years of equivalent work experience, preferably in admissions, customer service, or sales.
  • At least two years in a higher education role focusing on student retention.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to work independently and seek help when needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond promptly to re-entry student inquiries via phone, email, text, and virtual chat.
  • Conduct discussions to understand student goals, enrollment history, and current status.
  • Review re-entry process and requirements with students.
  • Discuss program options and career paths to ensure clarity.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for student-specific information.
  • Share resources like Herzing.edu, Zoomifier, and Tuition Wizard.
  • Connect students with relevant staff for support.
  • Maintain ongoing outreach to interested students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidates will reside near one of the South-Region campuses: Atlanta, Birmingham, Akron, New Orleans, Nashville.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mostly stationary, with occasional movement around the work location.
  • Operate office equipment including computers, copiers, and AV equipment.
  • Use voice and hearing to communicate effectively.
  • Visual assessment and observation skills.
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
