Côté Gold is being developed in partnership with the Mattagami First Nation, Flying Post First Nation and Métis Nation of Ontario, Region 3.

The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

Administrator, Travel and Transportation (7x7 Rotation on Site)

The Travel and Transportation Administrator will provide support to the travel, camp and transportation team which includes liaising with employees and contractors travelling to and from Côté Gold site, completing commercial flights, accommodations and transportation arrangements. The Administrator will also provide support with schedule, records and report management , invoice reconciliation, preparing correspondence and general data processing.

Key Responsibilities

Area 1:

Provide administrative support to camp and transportation services .

  • Coordinate domestic and international flights, hotel bookings, rental vehicles and other travel requirements for Côté Gold employees and contractors , including consultants and other stakeholders; serve as a general resource and point of contact for travel related issues or concerns.
  • Liaise with travelers and advise clients on transportation arrangements.
  • Handle routine and straight forward administrative duties such as data entry, filing and preparing communications.
  • Prepare presentations, spreadsheets and other materials to aid the department in decision making.
  • Respondto client questions and inquiries related to transportation and if needed, escalaterequests to the appropriate parties .
  • Provideback- up administrative support to other departments and be thoroughly versed in the administrative processes for at least one other position.
  • Co-ordinate with other admin support staff to ensure commonality of systems and administrative work practices.
  • May order office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to support administration efficiencies.

Area 2:

Provide exceptional customer support.

  • Actas an ambassador for Cote Gold, including greeting travelers and handling basic inquiries.
  • Demonstrateexceptional organizational skills and ability to respond to multiple and often competing priorities.
  • Prepare, book, follow-up and verify employee travel arrangements.
  • Other duties as required .

Area 3:

Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.

  • Seek opportunities to improve travel, camp and transportation services.
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Continually seek to improve your skills as a Travel and Transportation Administrator.
  • Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Mentor and train new team members.
  • Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
  • Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up .
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma with related post-secondary training and/or advanced business and management courses.

Work experience - Nature & Length

  • A minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
  • Computer literate and proficient in word processing, data entry, spreadsheets and PC based presentation graphics.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to balance several tasks simultaneously and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments.
  • Pleasant and courteous in interpersonal interactions.
  • Knowledge of basic office functions, i.e., office machines, telephone systems, copier, fax, binding machines.
  • Fluency in English; French would be an asset.
  • Highly motivated and independently driven with a sense of urgency.
