Administrator – Calgary Christian Secondary School - Principal

The Palliser School Division invites highly motivated educators, who have demonstrated exceptional leadership to apply for the position of Principal at Calgary Christian Secondary School. The position will begin on August 2 5 , 2025, or on a mutually agreed date. The successful candidate will possess a clear vision for student learning, a deep understanding of effective research-based pedagogy, a commitment to collaborative leadership, a solid understanding of school improvement processes, and sensitivity to community needs.

Located in the Southwest of Calgary, AB, and supporting over 450 students from Grade 7 - 12, CCSS provides an excellent, affordable Christian education in the Glamorgan area of Calgary. CCSS is a vibrant community united by a shared faith in Christ. Diversity enriches our school as we come together to learn, grow, and serve in Jesus’ name. Job Requirements

● Master’s Degree in Education or a related field (or in the process of obtaining one)

● Valid Alberta Leadership Quality Standard (LQS) Certification, or eligibility for same

● Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

● Exemplary teaching and administrative experience

● Strong leadership and management skills

● Commitment to establishing positive working relationships with staff, parents, and community partners

● Commitment to establishing partnerships and is knowledgeable about indigenous cultures, traditions and values

● Experience in multi-grade level classrooms

● Willingness to explore innovative approaches to learning

● Student-focused leader, dedicated to excellence in student learning in an inclusive environment

● Ability to provide effective leadership which fosters innovation, collaboration, respect and trust

● Ability to work in partnership with parents and other stakeholders to support student growth and development

● Strong interpersonal skills

To support the Faith-Based Vision of the school and the society, the successful applicant should also possess:

  • A commitment to Christian education.
  • Provide a Statement of personal Christian Faith detailing a commitment to Christian Faith and education, with an accompanied letter of Pastoral reference (required).

Conditions of Employment

In order to maintain a safe and secure working environment, applicants new to The Palliser School Division must provide:

● Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sector check from Local Police Service or RCMP detachment

● Clean Child Intervention Record Check (IRC) issued by the Alberta Government

● Social Insurance Number (SIN) card or document issued by Service Canada. SIN card/document must be in current legal name. Name on SIN card/document must match your Government Issued ID and Criminal Record Check

● Government issued ID - valid driver's license, valid passport or Nexus card
