Autism Services is seeking an Administrator to oversee the full administration of a Saskatchewan municipality under The Municipalities Act. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall administration of the municipality in accordance with The Municipalities Act, including advising Council, implementing Council policies, overseeing financial management and budgeting including grants administration, preparing agendas and minutes, administering taxation and assessment matters, ensuring legislative compliance, managing municipal assets and projects, and liaising with government agencies, ratepayers and stakeholders. The Administrator supervises and provides leadership to one part‑time office staff and works closely with Council to achieve the municipality's strategic goals. The RM has a full‑time Foreman and Assistant Foreman along with five seasonal employees. Attendance at daytime Council meetings and occasional special meetings is required. The RM has an agreement with the Village of Rush Lake to perform administration of the village. This occurs within the RM Office and the Village has their own Council.
Applicants must possess at minimum a valid Rural Class C Certificate along with strong management, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. The Administrator reports directly to Council, and is expected to interact with the public and other employees in a courteous and confidential manner. Experience with Munisoft municipal software and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) would be considered an asset.
The start date for the successful candidate is negotiable but must be no later than December 1, 2026. An overlap with the current Administrator is anticipated to provide orientation and ensure a smooth transition.
