Your Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Patient Care Manager for the Orthopedic Surgery Centre at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, we are seeking a highly capable and proactive employee to fulfill the staffing liaison role. In this position, you will deliver exceptional staffing and scheduling support to the surgical suite and inpatient units. Your duties include managing daily flowsheets, all timekeeping forms (e.g., OT, On Call, Callback) for the PSS Team, entering all time off requests per the collective agreement, and ensuring staffing needs are met for immediate, next-day, and future requirements. You will also build reports and conduct audits, meet regularly with unit managers to discuss requests and vacancies, and handle vacation planner entries. There is significant growth potential, including working with the RMS system and other recruitment platforms. As an Administrative Support V Staffing Liaison, you will require advanced administrative skills to support complex procedures and initiatives impacting staff schedules and patient care. This role operates autonomously, requiring strong communication skills and extensive knowledge of the ESP Scheduler Program and Workforce Management System. You will support unit managers by ensuring accurate and timely scheduling data entry in ESP, which may involve managing Excel spreadsheets to analyze data trends and reviewing reports to address staffing needs.

Required Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education (e.g., certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience with the ESP Scheduler / Timekeeping Program, demonstrating the use of related scheduling applications. At least 1 year of full-time experience in an ESP Staffing Services Office within the past 5 years. Strong computer skills, especially in Excel & Word. Ability to work independently, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Outgoing attitude, professionalism, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
