Administrative Support IV - ID Specialist

Your Opportunity :

The AHS ID Specialist works directly with clients requiring Alberta Personal Health Care or Alberta Identification Cards. The role involves engaging with multi-provincial and federal agencies to confirm clients' identities, residency, and legal entitlement to remain in Canada. This casual position has no regular hours and includes responsibilities such as:

  1. Providing initial screening at intake to assess ID needs and documenting client information.
  2. Maintaining liaison with relevant agencies to verify client information.
  3. Assisting clients at Service Alberta Registries for ID processing.
  4. Reviewing and updating client records, scheduling follow-ups for expired IDs.
  5. Managing caseloads and paperwork for various cases.
  6. Setting up virtual assistance sessions and ensuring proper consents are on file.
  7. Communicating client information with consent for referrals to follow-up services.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced skills to support complex procedures within a department or program.

Location Details : Sheldon M Chumir Health Centre, Calgary, Alberta. Casual/Relief, FTE 0.00, shifts vary, days pattern, off on Saturday and Sunday, salary range $26.07 - $31.68/hour.

Required Qualifications :

  • Some post-secondary education.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Addiction and Mental Health, working with vulnerable populations.
  • Relevant diploma from a recognized institution or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Experience developing training modules and delivering presentations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of community-based services and intervention programs.

Preferred Qualifications :

As required.
