Your Opportunity:

You're a detail-oriented multitasker with excellent customer service skills. You can effectively monitor various tasks, manage inventory, and coordinate multiple schedules and calendars within your department. Alberta Health Services (AHS) seeks someone like you for the position of Administrative Support IV within the Provincial Integrated Respiratory Services (PIRS) program. PIRS provides community care for chronically home-ventilated patients and supports rural and suburban hospitals with respiratory therapy services. Your responsibilities include answering calls, managing inventory, and ensuring the proper shipping and receiving of equipment and supplies. Your reception and customer service experience make you a key point of contact for PIRS interactions. Ideally, you reside in Calgary or Edmonton, major urban centers offering vibrant lifestyles, arts, culture, and healthcare facilities. Description:

As an Administrative Support IV, you will use advanced administrative skills to support complex procedures and initiatives within the department or program.

Location and Details:

  • Primary Location: South Calgary Health Centre
  • FTE: 0.40
  • Hours per Shift: 7.75
  • Shift Pattern: Days
  • Start Date: 23-MAY-2025
  • Salary Range: $26.07 - $31.68

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Some post-secondary education
  • At least 5 years of medical department experience in acute or community care
  • Training in medical terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and AHS applications such as Connect Care, Oracle, e-Facilities, and IT/HR Service Hub
  • Experience with administrative tasks like reception, call monitoring, inventory management, billing, and calendar management
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient interactions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous AHS experience, including with iProcurement, AHS Stores, and Connect Care reporting and scheduling
