Job description

Your Opportunity:

As the successful candidate, you will work with a diverse team of health care professionals in a busy and continually changing environment, providing in-person, front-line Administrative Support in the Community Health Services, Mass Immunization, and Rapid Response Casual Pool. Responsibilities include booking appointments, greeting and registering clients in an electronic medical record, verifying client records in electronic databases, line management, monitoring clients in post-immunization waiting areas, restocking immunization stations, cleaning according to infection control standards, and other administrative duties as required. These positions are scheduled as needed at various locations within the Edmonton Zone, including suburban and rural areas, and may involve days, evenings, and weekends. Remote work is not available for this role.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills to support complex procedures, practices, and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Two years recent experience (within 3 years) in an office environment is required. Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office (Excel and Word) are required. Accurate keyboarding skills are required. Must be physically able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to perform repetitive motions for long periods. Must be physically able to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods. Ability to excel in a busy environment. Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills are required. Note: Shortlisted candidates will complete a computer-based skills assessment test; only those scoring 80% or higher will be invited for an interview.

Preferred Qualifications:

Medical Office Assistant Certificate is preferred. Experience in a medical office, E-Clinician, NetCare/PD, Connect Care, or SharePoint is an asset. Must excel in a busy environment.
