Job Overview:

Facilitating efficient operations by delivering administrative support to managers and department/unit teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the manager and/or team.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing communication, including mail, correspondence, minutes, forms, etc.
  • Type confidential reports, including Performance Evaluations.
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings; take and type minutes.
  • Set up and maintain departmental files.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies as needed.
  • Process financial requisitions/orders and payroll information when required.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned, ensuring they align with the job’s purpose.
  • Handle cash transactions in the cafeteria and process daily cash deposits.
  • Input patient menus into the Computrition System.
  • Maintain awareness of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians, and visitors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable legislation.
  • Identify and proactively address safety issues and problems when possible.
  • Attend safety meetings, training sessions, and updates in accordance with the Centre’s standards.
  • Work in a manner that reflects the center’s core values and supports patients’ recovery journeys.
  • Maintain a strong performance history and attendance record.
Key Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • Administrative Support certificate/diploma or a minimum of 2 years of office experience.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets through qualified institution and/or work experience.
  • Proficient in Computrition nutrition software.
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS PowerPoint.
  • Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute.
  • Strong mathematical abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Skill in prioritizing workload within a multi-task environment with multiple demands.
  • Evidence of satisfactory attendance and punctuality.
  • Competency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Knowledge of Patient 1, Firstview, and ANSOS preferred.
