We’re hiring an Office Administrative Assistant for a short-term contract in Ottawa, starting immediately. This is a great opportunity to support a small, fast-paced team in a growing organization expanding into the Ottawa area. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and ready to jump in right away.
Responsibilities:
Provide front-desk support including answering and redirecting phone calls
Greet scheduled visitors and assist with light coordination of meetings
Manage calendar and light executive support for one team leader
Handle incoming/outgoing mail and monitor shared email inbox
Post occasional updates and respond to messages on LinkedIn
Support general office organization and coordination tasks
Work independently with daily check-ins and clear direction from leadership
Contribute to a collaborative team culture through visible task-sharing
Qualifications:
Previous experience in administrative, front desk, or office support roles
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working with minimal supervision and adapting to changing priorities
Professional, friendly, and articulate in person and over the phone
Tech-savvy and familiar with basic office tools; social media experience is a plus
Thrives in a startup-style environment with evolving processes and responsibilities
Experience in hospitality, retail, or real estate environments is an asset
