Job description

St. John’s Vancouver Church is hiring a full-time Administrative Specialist to support the smooth running of our church office and ministry operations. If you enjoy keeping things organized behind the scenes and find meaning in serving others, this could be the role for you.

You’ll be at the heart of our day-to-day activities—managing office logistics, coordinating Sunday service support, assisting with communications, processing expenses, maintaining donor records, and helping ensure our systems run well. It’s a varied role with plenty of opportunities to work alongside staff, volunteers, and members of the congregation.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and tech-comfortable. Experience with tools like Microsoft Office is required; familiarity with Google workspace, Asana, Planning Center, and Adobe products is a bonus, but not required—we’ll train the right person. What matters most is your willingness to learn and your desire to contribute to the life of the church.

This is a one-year contract to start, with the expectation of becoming a permanent position. The role includes three weeks’ paid vacation, extended health benefits, and a matching RRSP plan.

If you’re a growing disciple of Jesus who wants to use your administrative gifts to serve the church, we’d love to hear from you.
