What you\'ll do

The Administrative Services Assistant, Legislative Services, provides administrative support to the Clerk and Deputy Clerk including, but not limited to; Council and Committee preparations (agendas/minutes/set-up and follow up correspondence), secretary of select committees, records management including: training, auditing and all aspects of data management; preparation or correction of accessible documents, coordinate meetings and special corporate events and provides back up reception duties including answering telephone inquiries, greeting guests, and providing information to the public.

  • Legislative Administration: Draft minutes, reports, and follow up correspondence from Council meetings, and assist with the coordination of Council and Committee meetings. Sit as secretary on many Committees of Council. Assist with records management policies and procedures.
  • Reception: Assist with front line reception to members of the public, including answering telephone inquiries, distributing the mail, and processing front counter transactions/sales.
  • Meetings and Special Events: Assist with planning and attending special events, such as the County Recognition Awards, and make necessary arrangements for meetings including boardroom booking, room setup, and more.

In accordance with County Policy, a Police Record Check that is acceptable to the County will be required as a condition of employment.
